| 30 October 2010 ~ | Kate Chadbourne & Friends Concert! ~ I am thrilled and honored to be invited by the Folk Song Society of Greater Boston to give a concert at the beautiful First Parish Church in Watertown. I've listened to many wonderful singers there, and it is such a pleasure to have the chance to fill that space with songs & stories! And, to gild the lily, some of my favorite singers and players will join me for the evening - people with whom I've shared years of music and friendship. The whole crew includes Michael O'Leary, singer & bodhran player; Aisling Keating, singer and flute-player; Laurel Martin, singer and fiddler; Tom Smith, singer-songwriter, Pat Keneally, singer, bodhran and guitar; Bill Kehoe, wonderful traditional singer; Bob Phillipps, amazing guitar player; and Linda Abrams, whose banjo-playing knocks my socks off! 8 pm, $20 admission to benefit the Helen Robinson Wright Charitable Fund, coffee & refreshments served. And I promise a great, uplifting, spirited show - and lots of chances for you to sing! The First Parish Church, 35 Church Street, Watertown, MA. |
